Who would have thought singing while playing Kermit the Frog songs on a record player would create a desire in me that catapulted me to leading as a manager of a government agency and motivational speaking? My journey has been a testament to the evolution of gifts and passions.
Singing has always been a part of me, from church choirs to singing in four bands, singing the national anthem at professional ballparks and for work functions, and owning a music production company and label that developed another skill, leadership.
Singing also turned to acting, as I played the lead role in many school and stage plays. This played a crucial role in shaping my path. It instilled in me a comfort on stage and the ability to engage and captivate audiences. Little did I know I would be turning this experience into another stage experience.
Utilizing my talent at work provided me with exposure to upper management. This experience was pivotal in showcasing my skills on a larger platform and opening doors to new opportunities. Transitioning into a managerial role in the government and having a management and HR background, I drew upon leadership skills cultivated in school and within my own music company.
As a manager, writer, coach, and motivational speaker, I strive to leverage my passion for helping others guide individuals in the workplace and beyond to realize their purpose confidently.
My journey from singing Kermit songs to leading in business and rocking stages with motivation exemplifies the evolution of my gifts and the transformative power of following one’s passion. I’m blessed to leverage every facet of my talents to uplift and guide others on their journeys of self-discovery and personal growth, and this all started with one little red-and-white record player.
